The health of your horse is vital in ensuring your riding partner is around for years to come.  There exist a great deal of information about horse nutrition, much of it can be confusing.  So, as with any seemingly "hard" to understand subject, the first step is to study-up on the subject.

So, what we've done here is offer you some resources and tips to assist you in becoming more informed about your horse's needs.  Some horses are "easy keepers" who just  seem to stay round and happy with good hay and/or pasture and a just a handful of grain.  Others are always struggling to keep weight on.

We hope this information is helpful, and as we always recommend, talk to your vet, trainer, farrier, and other horse experts as well.  You can never know too much about horse health and nutrition.
