As horse lovers and owners, ourselves, we lean on the side of natural horsemanship with a practical, easy-to-duplicate style.

We particularly like the methods that show the horse-owner how to work with and maintain their own horse.  Look for trainers who  have proven their effectiveness over-time.

We suggest you talk to other horse owners and research online. Find which ones you think will work for you.

                                              How To Train A Horse

                                              Picture
Many trainers have videos and books, as well as training aides you can purchase.  They often offer clinics.  Catch them on tour.

Talk to other horse owners and find out who they use.

                                              Watch trainers work with horses.

                                              Owning a horse is maintenance.

                                              Picture
You are training your horse the minute you are visible to him.  They are very perceptive animals astutely attuned to body language. How to train a horse is, to a large degree, about how to train a horse owner.  It is a fun and challenging undertaking.

Listen to the experts and commit yourself to learning something new every day, and maintaining what you've learned.

                                              Here’s a list of only a few

of the great horse trainers out there. It is far from a complete list of the horseman and horsewomen who have established themselves as successful horse trainers. These are certainly not the only ones you can choose from.  We just thought you could look over the websites of these trainers as a good place to start.

Just don’t forget to look locally for trainers.  They are everywhere, whether or not they are nationally or internationally known.

You may just have a jewel of a trainer in your local area.

If you want to build confidence and be proud of the horse you sell, ensure also that you have a well-trained horse. Using Natural Horsemanship, is a better prospect for a potential buyer.
